Neighbors Unite Cambodia, Thailand Strengthen Ties: Highlighting Strong Naval Cooperation

Phnom Penh: Both Cambodia and Thailand have expressed warm sentiments regarding their collaborative efforts in the naval sector.

Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense, General Tea Seiha, and the Royal Thai Navy's Commander-in-Chief, Admiral Adung Phan-iam, exchanged views on the naval collaboration that has characterized the relationship between the two countries.

General Tea Seiha warmly received Admiral Adung Phan-iam's visit, marking it as a testament to the close ties and cooperation that have been fostered over the years between Cambodia and Thailand's naval forces. This visit follows a recent trip by Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet to Thailand, during which both he and his Thai counterpart pledged to deepen the bilateral relations further.

Highlighting the significance of these interactions, General Tea Seiha underscored the commitment to enhance cooperation, specifically calling for increased efforts in human resource training and the facilitation of more exchange visits between the navies of the two nations. This, he believes, will not only strengthen the naval forces but also contribute to peace and stability in the region.

Admiral Adung Phan-iam expressed his gratitude for the hospitality extended by Cambodia to the Thai delegation, concurring with the Cambodian deputy prime minister's proposals to continue and expand the naval cooperation. This mutual agreement underlines the shared understanding and the importance both countries place on their maritime security cooperation.

As Cambodia and Thailand continue to build on their naval collaboration, this meeting underscores the commitment of both nations to a partnership that not only enhances their maritime security capabilities but also contributes to the peace and stability of the region.
